white village (pueblo) of Mojacar where Walt Disney once Lived, to
the beautiful mountain villages of El Pinar and Bedar where Ealges
and wild boar are often seen. |

The
coast line offers many wonderful
bays and coves to explore. There are local tennis facilities,
scuba diving, microlight flying and go karting to mention just a
few of the local attractions. There are three national parks
in the Almeria Province, at El Ejido, Velez Blanco, and at Cobo
Gata, the latter being Spain's only sea land reserve. |

At
Tabernas one can visit a 'Wild West' show - it was here that many
spaghetti westerns were made, as well as Indiana Jones and
Lawrence of Arabia.
The city
of Almeria, which is less than an hours drive away, is well worth
a visit for it's beaches, port and shops. Street markets
take place most days of the week in Mojacar, Garrucha, Vera, and
Aguilas, where one can mingle with the local Spanish people as
well as being able to pick up some bargains. For the more
adventurous the 'Terra Mitica' theme park is approximately 2 hours
north near Benidorm.
